With the biggest elections in human history currently underway in the country, online dating platform OkCupid asked around 200,000 of its Indian users about their views on dating, politics, and mixing the two. The US-based social dating app says it has over a million users in India, most of them aged from 25 to 35 years and based in cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. A vast majority of the Indian users recognise the importance of both staying politically informed and voting during the elections. Many of them even want compulsory voting laws that would penalise those who do not cast their vote.
